Position: HR Administrator
Start Date: 03rd January 2025, or as soon as possible thereafter
Annual salary: £25,000
Time Commitment: 4 Months fixed term contract with possibility to extend.
Hours: 22.5 to 30 hours per weeks (3 or 4 days per week) timings of start/ finish each day are flexible
Location: Wixams Academy, Green Lane, Bedford
Pension: eligible to join the Local Government Pension Scheme
Reports to: HR Advisor
Flexible working arrangements are available, including the option to work from home. The role requires a minimum of one day per week on site, with occasional travel to London as needed.
The Knowledge Schools Trust is looking for an enthusiastic and highly-motivated individual to assist the Bedford based HR Advisor.
We are looking for a dynamic, efficient and highly motivated individual to join our busy fast paced HR department. The suitable candidate will have HR experience and will ideally have a CIPD Level 3 Foundation Certificate.
Ideally you will have at least two year’s experience of working in an office and have experience with recruitment administration, processing DBS applications and a sound knowledge of safer recruitment guidelines. Knowledge of HR administration and the requirements of HR data management in a school setting would be advantageous.
You will need to be self-managing, PC literate, with an eye for detail and able to perform a wide variety of tasks to a high standard. The successful candidate will be able to multi-task, be a team player and support the Trust’s schools.
Our central services team, is based in two locations in London and Bedford and undertakes the main finance, administration and HR function providing support to nine schools, two Secondaries including Sixth Forms and seven primary schools (four schools in London and 5 in Buckinghamshire/ Bedfordshire), for a staff body of around 520. We educate just under 4000 pupils.
Key focus of the role
- Providing wide ranging support to our HR Advisor for the Bedford schools
- Helping populate our new HR system (SAMPeopleServe) by digitally scanning documents and files and auditing staff files to ensure that a consistent set of documents is uploaded for each employee.

Experience of EveryHR would be advantageous but training can be provided.
